Abstract
The general multicarrier (GMC) technique developed by
Shanghai Wireless Telecomm Research Center has been
considered a leading candidate for the next generation
domestic wireless broadband standard. Meanwhile, the IEEE
802.16e (aka, mobile WiMAX) system is rapidly gaining
popularity among wireless service providers because of its
open standard, high throughput, and low equipment costs.
The main objective of this project is to study the
feasibility of integrating GMC with IEEE 802.16e into a
new, more powerful system.
