Noel spends much of her time with her family which includes her husband, three sons, two grandchildren, four stepchildren, and four step grandchildren. All her children live in the Seattle area, with the exception of her middle son who is sailing around the world.

Her interests include travel (she went to the Mediterranean this year!), gardening, bridge, and cross-country skiing. She has worked at the Department of Electrical Engineering for 20 years!
